Word wont run due to "restrictions on this computer" - other appl.

I had Office 97 Professional and upgraded to Office 2000 Professional. After
installing all applications work except Word. When I run Word I get a
message that the program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut
down. After pressing Close I then get the message that the operation has
been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer and to contact
my system administrator. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I
installed every service pack and that didn't help. I did get warnings on the
service packs about unable to update 2-3 .TMP files but otherwise things
installed ok.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QWRhbUU=?=,

Try uninstalling Office, then installing again. if that doesn't help, ask in the
office.setup newsgroup where you'll find experts in setup questions. Be sure to
mention which version of WINDOWS you have.
