WORD as Outlook Editor?

Guest

I am using Outlook 2003 and having memory lapse about the editor options......

I recall I started Outlook 2003 using Word as Editor, but switched back to
Outlook as editor (seems like there was an issue of folks I was emailing
getting winmail.dat files, which still confuses me to why that is.)

My question is WHY WOULDN'T you use Word as email editor or another way to
ask, is what is the advantage of using Outlook as Editor? Welcome all
feedback. Thx -

In a nutshell, performance, which won't matter at all if you don't have a
weak machine.

meaning - more features to do more with Word as editor? Is there any issue
with the emails (original, forwarded, etc.) being received by others as a
winmail.dat file
My machine is less than a year old, so "it" will not be a performance issue
