Word and Publisher -- pictures, lines

There isn't a category for both of these... so I'll try here. Lately,
pictures are not showing up in Word AND Publisher. I have tried bringing to
front -- it works... temporarily. As soon as I scroll down and back, the
picture disappears. In Publisher, the lines are't appearing. It just started
recently and I can't think of changes I've made to cause these problems.

Thanks for any help.

Try reducing the hardware acceleration setting in Start | Control Panel
| Display | Advanced | Troubleshooting.

That worked! Thank you. Now I know why this happened. I got a second monitor.
I didn't make the connection.

Oy, problem is back... even after reducing it two ticks. How many ticks can
you reduce it before it becomes a problem?

I don't think having two monitors is a factor. How many ticks depends
on your computer... decrease the hardware acceleration setting until the
screen refreshes correctly in Word, and see if there are any adverse
effects in your other programs. If you don't use the computer for
graphics-intensive games, you probably won't notice a difference no
matter what the setting is.

I have the same problem with Word and Publisher 2003.. Reducing the slider on
the graphics accelator works for Publisher but has no effect on word graphics
at all. When I do print preview they show up but will not show up while I am
working on the file/page. Not happy with having to keep sliding the
accelator all the time.. If its not full accelation media center will not
work.. What a pain! Any help on the graphics in word would be appreciated..
Spend alot of money of these programs.. would like to be able to use them!!

I don't have an Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family display adaptor,
and all my settings are as they should be. My hardware acceleration is all
the way down. However, I'm still having the problem. What's more, it's only
happening on my second monitor! The first monitor is working fine. Are
there any settings that govern the second monitor that I'm missing?

Thanks!

If there is no driver update available - you'll have to live with it.
