Word 2003 printing bug?

Guest

I have created template forms that include user instructions in comments. Our
problem is with the text that I highlighted when I added the comment. If you
use the File > Print method of printing, the text is printed properly as
plain black letters. However, if you use the Printer BUTTON in the standard
toolbar, the text is printed with gray shading, like it appears on the screen.

Is there any way to eliminate this shading if you use the printer button, or
is it a known bug in this release of Word?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I suspect you're not going to get an answer to this one, but you might try
posting in microsoft.public.word.printingfonts.

If you use the following macro, it will cause the File Print dialog to be
displayed when the Print button is used.

Sub FilePrintDefault()

Dialogs(wdDialogFilePrint).Show

End Sub

Hope this helps.

Wouldn't it be easier to substitute a FilePrint button for the
FilePrintDefault button?
