Word 2000 will not open word 2003 documents with a macro in it

I have word 2003 document with a marco in it. It will not open up in word
2000. It keeps giving an error message and then it closes word 2000. I have
tried opening the document in word 2003 with open & repair option and it sill
does not work.
Here is the error that I keep getting.


The instruction at "0x30062727" referenced memory at "0x0000000". The
memory could not be "read".

Try holding down the Shift key as you open the document.

That does not work at all Doug. It actually closes word completely now. It
shuts the program right down. I hope this helps you out.

This sounds like a problem with the Word 2000 installation itself rather
than the particular document.

If you can open Word 2000 at all, try Help > Detect and Repair. If you can't
open it then go via Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs > (whatever
version you have installed of Office, or Word) > Change > Repair
