Word 2000 download

I seem to lose fonts and other componensts of Word 2000 when I download my
disc to XP Home. It's configuring, but ultimately only gives me sans serif
fonts and new, but repeated fonts. Need some help. Thanks

I guess that you mean installed rather than downloaded. Do you have a
printer active under File>Print other than the Generic text printer? If you
do not, all that you will get is the Times New Roman Font. If that is the
case, under the control panel, add a printer (you do not need to have the
printer physically present, but the Driver for it needs to be installed) and
make that the default printer.
