I recently upgraded my aol to 9,0VR
and I am using XP
I keep getting this box, it doesn't go away. I have tried everything I can
think of to do.
I know my computer to some degree but am not a computer geek (sadley)
anyway the first thing it will say "windows installer is preparing to
install" next
"please wait while windows configures fax"

then I get another box saying

"the features is in a CD rom or other removable disk that is not available"
with option on the side saying okay and cancel
then it saids
"insert the "fax disk" use sourse then I have a browse option
then it trys to fax or something, can't remember for sure. it will say 9
senconds remaining.

I don't know what to do
any help would be appreciated
thanks from Autumn

Hi,

I'm not a puter geek either but I've been getting a similar type of
installer message when I open Outlook. The only way I've been able to clear
it up is to keep clicking on cancel until it stops and goes away.

Perhaps one of the experts who are so helpful on the newsgroups will be able
to explain it and help us get rid of this problem.

IF I recall correctly these messages occur when you attempt to use an option
in Office which is not installed in the Typical installation most people opt
for. You should just check this on the Office group but in essence the
solution is to insert the Office CD and let the installer find the module
which provides the functionality you have called for.
HTH,
ern.
