Won't remember passwords

I am running windows XP and my computer will not remember
passwords when logging on to a web site. I am prompted
to have them remembered and check yes, but they are not
remembered. I have checked autocomplete to make sure
it's set right. This has been this way since new, but
Gateway simply refused to help. Any thoughts on this?

My computer is the same. Firefox will remember passwords so I think it's an
IE problem.

Firefox is a good browser anyway, so it's worth trying.

I looked up your suggestion but that applies to outlook
exp. My problem is in Internet explorer. Any other
ideas?
