Won't boot after install

I just installed Vista RC2 32bit and used my RC1 serial number. When
installing it mentions RC1 not RC2 typo or not? Anyway it went through the
install ok and rebboted but all it does when it boots from the drive is goes
to a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner and gets no
further. I have tried the boot repair from the Vista disk but it has not
cured the problem.

2 Gig

Seagate Barracuda 250
Clean format with no other drives (except IDE DVD) connected

Hi DN,
I have exactly the same problem. I had RC1 and it had the same
problem. I thought with this problem been brought up that it would have been
solved in RC2.
I too installed a fresh copy with as minimum connected. As far as I know it
is something to do with Vista not letting display drivers loading.
Hope they sort it for the final build otherwise I will be very disappointed
as this was suppose to be the final test build.
