WMP11 Not Finding Any Files on Vista

I have all my MP3 files in D:\Users\Public\Music. If I drag them from
Explorer into Windows Media Player then they are correctly added to my
Library.

However, if I get WMP to search my folders (D:\Users\Public\Music is
included in the list of locations) then it finds no files at all.

They only unusual thing about my setup is that I used this guide:

to move my Users folder from C:\ to D:\ after installing Vista. But surely
if I can see & add files by drag and drop in Explorer then WMP should be
able to search the same folder?

That likely indicates that the files were counted as deleted from the Media
Library, in which case the player will try not to readd them unless you drag
them, as if it readded deleted content you would likely get mad at it.
(Since you would remove from library, it would rescan them, repeat ad
infinitum.)
