WMP11 Doesn't let me use the Print Screen button

Howdy,

Posting this here cos the Music forum don't work anymore!

I use the print screen button alot for work and I also like to listen to
music on WMP11 whilst I'm working, but unfortuntely the both of them don't
work together?

1. If for example I boot up Adobe Photoshop THEN boot up WMP11 and press
"Print Screen" and try to paste into Photoshop, nothing! It will wither paste
in the last thing that was in the clipboard BEFORE I booted WMP11 up, or
nothing at all. Close WMP11 and print screen and it all works fine

2. But if I boot up WMP11 first THEN boot up Adobe Photoshop and do the same
as above, it all works fine?

If I do the same in Word 2007 for example though it works fine regardless?

So it would appear that it is a problem with Photoshop and WMP11, they are
clashing in someway?

Also, PLEASE PLEASE don't suggest using that snippet tool, that, to me is
rubbish. It takes about 300 clicks to get the image into Photoshop, even then
its really crappy quality!

Does any one have ANY ideas how I can fix this cos its driving me insane.

Any help appreciated!

I bet it doesn't work because of copyright laws that would have people
copying album covers and such. I would try a third-party tool to do this
like Snag-It.

Sorry, I meant the Vista Music, Pictures and Video forum.

It won't allow me to post the message, you submit and it just reloads the
page. but tbh this entire forum is full of bugs, amount of times I have had
to close the browser and reopen it cos of another bug that screws things up.

I thought about the copyright thing, but if thats the case then MS have got
a bug there, cos if you open media player first you can do it no problems?

Annoying, but I'll wait for the new version of iTunes when you can put that
in Vista's start menu... dont have any print screen issues there.

Any other ideas, please let me know!

keogh,

Have you tried using the XPS Document Print feature?

If not, use that new Vista Feature for obtaining a pixel perfect screen shot!

You've discovered that the web interface is awful. Don't use it. These are
actually Usenet newsgroups. Use a newsreader. Windows Mail can handle
newsgroups nicely or use a 3rd party newsreader.

Maybe this will help, it's free:

freehand-selected regions and scrolling windows/web pages. It has innovative features such as a

screen magnifier and many more.
