I posted this several weeks ago and never received a response on the WMP
newsgroup, so now I'm trying this newsgroup. I'm thinking it could be
something else within Windows that's set wrong, causing this to not work
correctly or perhaps a software conflict... I don't know.
When I use WMP11, I can update one song's album information, then after
that, it says "You must be connected to the Internet to update
information about the Audio CD you have selected." I am still connected
to the Internet however as we have cable and are always on and I can go
straight to Firefox and the page loads fine. Also, for some reason when
I go to MP3.com and preview a song or anywhere else for that matter that
has live music previews, WMP11 comes up but then just sits there and
does nothing. It works fine on WMP11 on Windows Vista on my same
computer and it works fine on another computer with XP with WMP11 but
for some reason, it will not work right on my computer with WMP11 and
XP. Windows Vista and XP are on the same machine in a dual-boot
configuration. Any ideas for either of these? So, in short summary,
WMP for some reason keeps thinking my computer is not connected to the
Internet. Thanks.
-More Info Since Then-
I rolled back to WMP10 and I had the same issues as I did with WMP11, so
it's not just a WMP11-related thing. This issue does not occur on any
of the other computers in this house, which have Windows XP and WMP11
using Firefox. I also tried using MP3.com using IE7, but that didn't
work either.
Thanks.
