WMM2 and Firewire

It appears from what I read in these postings, for the easiest and best video rendition one needs a firewire car
to Download MPEG files created from digital camcorder to WMM2. Once one downloads a movie clip directly into WMM
can you then simply edit add titles and email, I am talking about 30 to 40 second clips. Not whole 30 or 60 min Movies.
Thanks Much.

Yes you must have firewire for capturing from DV cameras. Sometimes these
cameras have USB but it is only to transfer very low quality video. The only
exception to this are the DVD camcorders which have USB2 and you transfer
the clips as if they were files straight from the DVD drive.

After the editing you "File menu, Save movie file, and then you can select
quality options. Low quality movies will be produced very quickly.
Converting to other space saving but high quality formats can take much
longer.
