wmiprvse.exe application error

Hi

I am getting a wmiprvse.exe application error at start-up. What is the
problem and how can I fix it?

Did this start happening after any recent updates?

I just installed updates
MS08-052 Q938464
MS08-052 Q954326
MS08-052 Q954448
MS08-054 Q954154
MS08-055 Q951944
MS08-055 Q953404
And now i am getting event 26's every 30min or so.

Application popup: wmiprvse.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x0100a96b" referenced memory at "0x75946998". The memory could not be
"read".
