This is a further attempt to resolve problems that may or may not be
connected.
1. Windows Live Mail will not log me in automatically. It still asks for
my password on start up even though the "remember password" box is
ticked. Once logged on, I can exit and re-open without problem - until
the next re-boot.
2. I attempt to set up a .NET Passport for my user name (admin
privileges) and am told that it is accepted - until the next re-boot.
This is after I have tried Kelly's tweak at:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Line 223, right-hand column, Enable storage of .NET Passwords.
As stated, I don't know if the problems are related or not. It may be
that I have missed some obvious setting.
All other passwords/logins that I have set to remember, ARE remembered.
Could it be an IE8 problem? In add ons, I can see Windows Live Sign-In
Helper (enabled) but not Windows Live Sign-In ASSISTANT, which is the
program that is supposed to be downloaded with WLMessenger.
