Wireless WEP Encryption not 128-bit

Hi,

I have set up a wireless network (2 machines running XP
Pro and 1 running Win 98 SE).

With my XP Pro laptop I have tried to install a
Lucent/ORiNoco/Proxim 802.11b PCMCIA Card. The card
installed no bother...however...When setting up the card
to access the network I put in the 128-bit encryption WEP
hex key, yet, when I save it using the Windows Network
Config tool (the card does not have its own config
program) it only saves it as a 64-bit key and therefore
not allowing me access to my network - I have done all
windows updates and checked out the MS Knowledgebase all
to no avail.

Any Thoughts?

Cheers
Mark

Some of the older Lucent/Orinoco 802.11b cards only were 64 bit
capable (many are marked as "Silver" in the card name). Which card
exactly do you have?
