Wireless very slow

Hi,

I have a Gnet (gnet.ca) 114G Wireless Broadband Router which generally works
reliably but I am having trouble using my new laptop (Dell Latitude D420)
with it. The laptop has an Intel ProSet 3945ABG Net wireles card which works
fine on other wireless networks. My old laptop still works fine with the
router and I have 2 desktops (XP Pro and Home) connected as well. I can ping
any sort of website no problem with the new laptop and connect to the router
OK but once I try to access a website with IE7 or try to run SSH, the data
transfer rate drops to virtually zero. If I connect to the router with an
Ethernet cable, it works just fine.

Any help is appreciated,
Richard

Hi again,

Problem solved. Someone suggested changing to a different channel which I
had done and it made no difference but in desperation I tried a third one and
now it works great. Just to be sure I changed back to the first channel and
same problem.

Thanks anyway.
Rich
