I could use some help here. I have a dual boot computer. Had XP Pro
installed for last few years, added a hard drive and installed Vista
Home Premium, no issues there. My problem lies in when I boot to
Vista, the signal strength of my wireless network is very low,
usually 1-11 Mbps. When I boot to XP Pro, the signal is 48-54 Mbps. I
am using all the same hardware, have installed all the lastest
drivers from Linksys, but no change. I talked to Linksys support and
thet say it is something in Vista causing the problem. I have tried
everything I can think of with no luck. if anybody can help me with
this issue, that would be great. Thanx....AC

If it has to do with some Vista-internal - sorry, I wouldn't know. But try
the following: change the WLAN-channel and see if there is an improvement.
This has helped me already in several situations.
Axel.

try updating the driver from device manager, update driver. the
newest driver may not necessarily be from Linksys. I'd also
unbind/uncheck IPv6.

XP and Vista report the link speed differently. the Linksys utility
reports differently that Windows native tools. If you transfer the
same file from each OS, how long does it take?
