wireless network file sharing

New to networking so please excuse if my problem is due more to my
ignorance than systems not working.
Just set up a wireless network using a US Robotics USR9110 and USR5422
USB adaptor.
Main PC is co-located with ADSL router/internet access point and is
wired to it Second PC uses the 5422 adaptor. I have no problem with
either PC accessing the internet - the 5422 has very good signals.
Main PC has WINXP PRO, second has XPHOME SP2.
I have run network wizard on both PC's and put them both in the same
workgroup. File sharing and printer sharing is enabled on both.
That's as far as I've got, as neither PC can 'see' the other on the
network.
Don't know what to do next - anyone help ?
I intend to complete the network with a laptop, but need to sort these
two out first !

Robert,

Running Windows Networking, on WiFi, will always be a challenge. If you have
just 2 computers, you should disable the browser on one.

Take a look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and
"net config workstation", from each computer, and diagnose the problem. Read
this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):
