Wireless network active while docked instead of wired

When I doc my laptop my wireless connections continues to be the default path
instead of the cabled 100mb connection.

I have set the binding order and made my local "cabled" connection the top
selection. This still did not correct it. I remember a article a few
years ago that explained a workaround for this. (can find it) It discussed
setting the cost/expense for the wireless higher than the cabled connection
and therefore if the cabled connections was available that would always be
the route taken.

You can manually tweak the cost setting thru TCP/IP Properties - Advanced - IP
Settings.

Take a look at your static route table first.

<http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg1201.mspx>

Start - Run - "cmd". Type "route print >c:\route.txt" into the command window -
Open c:\route.txt in Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is NOT checked!,
copy and paste entire contents into your next post. Identify operating system
(by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

Thanks Chuck!!! Interface metric under the TCP/IP was the Key. It was set
to automatic. Set it to manual on both and vaule on the wireless to 10 and
hardwired to 1.

It works perfect.

Thanks again,
Bob
