Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 - jerky tracking?

N

Noozer

I just replaced a MS Wireless Intellimouse 2.0 with at MS Wireless Laser
Mouse 6000... The laser mouse tracking seems quite "ragged" compared to the
old mouse.

On a piece of white paper, the mouse will jump a bit left and right when
moving the mouse forward and backwards. The forward/backward motion also
seems kinda jerky and even seems to jump small amounts in reverse. This is
much worse when directly on my wooden desk surface.

I never had this problem with the old mouse. Any ideas why this could be?

Looks like I might need to invest in a new mousing surface.

Microsoft hardware is now at software v6.1 Try updating both at microsoft
hardware web page.And/or open mouse in control-panel,go thru the properties
tabs, the advanced tab, lets you increase sensitivity to the mouse...

Had the same issue here with the laser mouse 6000. Called MS and was given a
free replacement and it works fine with the new mouse. It is a defect
apparently in some model 6000's.

My Wireless Desktop 6000 is also little bit problematic.

MS Calculator+ hangs after couple seconds.
MS Calculator is working fine.

When runnig Avid Liquid (Pinnacle video editing software), processes
itype.exe and ipoint.exe load CPU for 100% (kernel), so working with this
program is very difficult.

I have latest driver.

No answer from MS support.

I also have 6000 mouse; my workaround for calculator+ is to use Classic View
[from the bottom of the View menu. This works 100% for me.

I am sorry, but this doesn't help me.
Calculator plus hangs as well in "standard" view.

Thanks
