Wireless and Wired network on xp notebook?

Rich

Hi,
I have a linksys wired connection at work
using cat5 through router.
At home i have a linksys wireless network.
Bought a wireless notebook card and installation
goes ok but my notebook will not recognize the
wireless connection.

I am by no means a network whiz and i don't
want to screw up my wired connection.

Am i asking the impossible from one notebook?
Is there an easy way to do this without uninstalling
and reinstalling every time i want to do this?

thank's
rich

Rich:

I run several computer's via WiFi or Ethernet via hardware profiles (see
Help & Support).
Some notes:
Use Device Mgr: Network Adapters to disable the unwanted adapter for each
profile.
For the wired profile: disable the WiFi adapter
For the WiFi profile: disable the wired adapter
When you boot the computer you will see a listing of the hardware profiles,
and you can select either profile.
