WinXPpro, missing DLL

I finally gave in to the temptation and installed Kazaa on my winXPpro
machine but now explorer.exe doesn't run anymore! After I turn on the
machine and enter my password I get an error message saying that it can't
run "explorer.exe" because SHDOCVW.dll is missing. So all I get is my
windows wallpaper and nothing else!
There is a SHDOCVW.dll in winXPhome on my laptop but I don't know how to go
about copying it to the system folder of my desktop. When I try booting up
my desktop with the resource CD that came with the computer it doesn't give
me access to the content of the hard disk. And I'm not even sure if copying
that file from the home edition will take care of the problem.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Can you start in safemode by pressing F8 before windows starts to
load......?

I've tried the safe mode but explorer.exe doesn't run under safe mode either
(for the same reason).

I'm not sure if it will help, just a thought. You could try downloading the
set of boot disks from MS
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q310994

This may allow you to carry out a repair install

have a look and see what you think.
Anyway that will teach you not to give in to temptation again , eh.
