WinXP Pro SP1 installation

rana anand

Hi,
I have installed winxp pro sp1 (NOT SP1a) on my machine.
When I right-click My Computer and view Properties, it
shows my OS to be on Service Pack 1. However, I cannot
see the entry in add/remove programs. Also, I clearly
remember archiving the files before installing SP1, but
it does not show up any uninstall folder in my Windows
folder...
Any ideas what can be done to get it to show up at the
proper places or to verify if it has been installed
correctly?
Any help is greatly apprecited. Thanks in advance.
Rana.

Hi Rana,

If you installed and you opted to archive, there should be a hidden
compressed folder under %windir% called $NtServicePackUninstall$. Set folder
options/view tab to see these files before looking for it.
