WinXP PRo as a Internet Gateway to the Home LAN with DOmain controller (AD, static IP's)

Hi,

I have a small LAN with Win03 Server as a Domain Controller, AD and static
IP.

All PCs are connected to a hub that is a DHCP server. Some PCs like a Domain
Controller have static IPs (out of DHCP range).

I have one of the connected PCs with WinXP Pro SP2 that also have a WiFi
connection to the Internet.

I would like to connect the whole LAN to the Internet via that PC.

I can not use ICS since I have static IPs in the LAN.

Is NAT an option, and NAT where a Gateway is WinXP Pro SP2 machine?

PS. Please CC me on replies.

Thanks,
Ivan

The simple way is adding a router. If you want to use NAT, it must be the server. Finally, you may be able to setup ICS using different IP (but it is not recommended). This link may help,

Can I setup ICS using different IP Can I setup ICS using different IP range instead of 192.168.0.1 ... It works just fine, but you WILL have to assign your other ICS client's IP settings ...

ICS setup To setup a win9x (in our case) as ICS client to access the internet, you need to do ... Symptom: you setup ICS for other LAN clients to access the Internet. ...
