WINXP MAXIMUM INBOUND CONNECTIONS

I WANT TO INCREASE MY NUMBER OF SIMULTANEOUS INBOUND
CONNECTIONS TO MY COMPUTER. I KNOW THE MAXIMUM NUMBER IS
5 FOR WINXP HOME EDITION, BUT I DON'T WANT TO UPGRADE TO
WINXP PRO. IS THERE A WAY TO MANUALLY INCREASE THIS
NUMBER?? PLEASE ADVISE.

THANKS,
JARED

No, not possible. This is hardcoded into the OS. If you
need more connections, W2000 and WXP Pro can handle 10
simultanious connections. For more then 10 you need
server software....

No, there's no way to change the limit. Sorry.

The limit is the number of other computers that can connect to XP's
shared resources simultaneously. Computers that aren't actively
connected to a computer's shared resources don't count against the
limit. When a computer disconnects from a shared resource, it no
longer counts against the limit. See this site for more information:
