I recently installed and configured a Win2k Server has the
Domain Controller of my Office LAN and while connecting
client computers to it, the WinXP clients behaved rather
funny. Using the Network ID wizard, the computer joind the
domain and takes the new DNS names. There is full access
to network resources. However, upon shutting down and
rebooting the XP clients, after initial logon during
bootup, each time I try to access a network resource, the
computer asks for my username and password and tells me
Logon Unsuccessful. Remember that it accepted this during
startup. Another point is that some users which were
originally authenticated to logon, now get "The domain
could not be contacted" message.
