Hi,
I have a winxp home system that was hit by blaster. Each
time I try to go to the windows update site I'm told that
the Active X security is to high. I've changed all of
the security settings in IE, I've disable the Norton 2002
antivirus software at both the app and service level,
even tried safe mode with networking, but still no love.
I then tried to just apply the individual blaster patch
KB823980 and I get the following error.
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is
running on this computer.
I checked it and it is running. Even stopped and started
it, but I still get the same message.
Any help would be appreciated.
