WinVNC is blocking software updates...etc

Hello.

I have WinVNC installed on my pc which I believe is now blocking simple
application updates. Turbo tax can't get out to the internet to update
itself,
TV Guide + can't download the latest listing, etc.

Is there any setting in WinVNC that will allow these apps to access their
host sites?

I am using a SMC wireless router, however, other computers on my network,
without WinVNC, function fine. I can't also use IE without any problems on
all computers.
