WINPUP

Hi All,

WINPUP seems to be hiding somewhere that MS Antispyware
(and also Spybot) can't see it. I scan my machine and get
a clean bill of health from both products. Next time I
start up, boom, a pop up. I run the scan and it finds
WINPUP entries in the registry.

Anyone seen this? Any ideas how to clean it out?

Hi,
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;
Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.
