Scan does not check cookies

Neither a full scan nor an Intelligent quick scan check
any cookies on my system. (XP Prof, up to date
signatures.)
I can't find a setting that might make a difference.
Antispyware has not found anything in 10 scans over 14
days. I always run AdAware SE and Spybot after
Antispyware and they find problems - mainly cookies but
some reg entries.
Can anyone help? Is Antispyware supposed to scan cookies?

As a baseline, why don't you remove all your cookies and begin from scratch
with the proper Internet Explorer settings - to restrict 3rd party cookies
(or prompt), etc. If you want to selectively remove cookies, you can also
do that, but it may be painful. This is part of the reason MS AS doesn't
remove or detect cookies I'm guessing - it's quite subjective, not to
mention cookies aren't harmful to begin with. They are often needed to
establish and maintain persistent sessions, as well as remember your login
(not password), etc.
