All,
I am having some difficulty scheduling my Counter logs for
the Performance Logs and Alerts settings. I would like to
configure a log to run 24 hours from midnight to midnight
and start a new log file with the next days date. My
application likes the logs in 24 hour chunks. But, I can
not find this functionality in the Counter Logs scheduler
properties. I only see one day of the week for start and
one day of the week for end. I was wondering if anyone
knows how to kick of the counter log from anything other
that the MS Performance Logs and Alerts. I basically need
the same data ever day broken into an every day file and
so on. I know you can break the log file up with the log
file size setting but I need to do it on a daily
frequency. Any help is much appreciated.

I am replying to my own post. Thanks For your help! I have
used the typeperf.exe to log my performance counters to a
tsv file. I have scheduled this batch file using WIN NT
scheduler for every day and killing the task after 24
hours. I have used a DOS variable to date stamp my out put
files correctly.
