WINNT Memory.dmp

I was searching my computer (I have Windows 2000) for files to get rid of as
I am having space issues.

I found a 200MB file called MEMORY.DMP located in my WINNT folder. It was
last updated June 2004.

Can I simply delete this. What is its impact?

Thank you

According to a post on techrepublic, that file simply contains the
contents of what was in memory when the computer crashed so that you
can go through it and determine the cause of the crash.
Basically time consuming and probably a waste to do so. You can delete
the file without consequence.

I agree with you.
One can also set some options via the System Properties, Advanced,
Startup and Recovry dialog. In the System Failure section.
