winmx 3.53 never says begin search. always trying to connect.

I have turned off every firewall. Still i can't connect to the service. It
started about a month ago. Around the time of service pack 2 introduction i
think. i have open the service ports and still no connection. Just want to be
able to connect and downlaod like it use to.

And you're posting here because...? This has nothing to do with Windows
(unless MS has now acquired WinMX). Go ask the developer if there's a patch.
You'll get no support for P2P applications here.
