WindowsXP professional compatibility with games

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between home
edition and professional? Is professionaL edition games
compatible. I play certain games on my home edition but
the same games will not play on my brothers professional
edition!

Home lacks some of the items, like IIS and being able to log onto domains,
that Pro has natively, but the game play should be no different - EXCEPT
Home is more difficult to work with on multiple user accounts, especially
the Limited variety.

I suspect you're running into the situation of not having the proper
permissions on your brother's computer, but without details of any error
messages you're seeing - whether there is a program, hardware or just user
account error - it is difficult to assist. Could you post with some
details?

You might note also that a lot of games run something like SafeDisk so they
won't be operational on a second, third, etc., computer without the original
CD.
