I can no longer load XP. The system fully loads, then a meaasge appears,
windows will shut down in one minute, windows has detected that your pc
is infected,. Does same thing in safe mode. Can I fix this or must I
take it to a pc system xpert???? HELP!!
Take it to an expert - and you need to learn about XP Security and
Anti-Virus software. This one is preventable in almost all cases.
While you could "Clean" your PC, it's best to wipe/reinstall it from clean
media in a clean environment. Malware removal tools are reactionary, they
can only remove what they know of - if something new has come out there is
a period of time before anything can detect it - so most of them can't
remove the newest malware for a short period of time.
You can stop the SHUTDOWN in safe mode by opening a CMD window and typing
"Shutdown /A" and pressing enter - this aborts the shutdown, but you may
have to do it several times - you can use that method to try and run your
AV scan, but I suspect you don't have a quality AV program or you would
not be posting here.
