Windows XP Welcome Screen

R

Raj

After I removed a 3rd party software from my pc, it
stopped displaying the 'XP' welcome screen. Instead, I'm
getting the standard classic 'Logon to Window' screen. I
tried to restore the welcome screen without any success.

Following options I've tried in vain.
1. From the user account dialog of control panel. Enable
Welcome screen with Fast SWITCHing between user enabled.

2. Registry entry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\LogOnType set to 1 for welcome
screen.

3. MSGina DLL entry is removed from the Registry for
WinLogon.

Anything else, I'm missing here to enable the windows
welcome screen.

Help is appreciated.
Thanks

Man it seems 3 of us are having this problem. I'm in the
process of asking 2 people, when I get the answer, I'll
let you know!!!!

Go to Control Panel and set it to Classic Log in. Reboot
and go back to Control Panel and set it back to the
correct login you want. I had mine this way too after a
3rd party software.
