Windows XP SP2 on a clean install

I,am doing a clean install of windows XP do i have to install windows XP SP1
first or can I Just install XP SP2 onto a clean install

Hi

If you install from an 'original' XP CD, then there is no need to install
SP1/1a first. SP2 is cumulative, so includes all previous updates. Another
way to install SP2 is with a slipstreamed SP2 CD. For that you will have to
download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from here:

SP2 is comprehensive, including everything from SP1a (but not the MS
Java VM that was in SP1 but not SP1a)
