Windows XP PRO upgrade, How to revert to old Logitech Mouse Drivers ?

I just upgraded Win98SE to WinXP Pro and the upgrade advisor stated that the
Logitech Mouse driver would need to be reinstalled. I have a Sony Vaio
laptop with a built in Touchpad and XP installed a generic PS2 type mouse
that is very erratic. No upgrades are on the Sony site for my unit, Logitech
says they have tons of drivers and would not know where to start unless I
downloaded the full Mouseware.
I still have a folder for Mouseware and .inf files, but it going to MOUSE
under control panel, I cannot get it to install the old drivers. In on
attempt, it did at least try, but say the drivers were not for this OS.
Any ideas on this ? I am very limited on adjusting the mouse pad and the bad
part is the touchpad (or left key) seems way to sensitive as it pushes
itself on its own, and I have to be careful where I leave the cursor or I
may end up someplace else.
Old Sony is a Vaio XG9. Was only supported for Windows ME update, but most
everything except the jog wheel works fine on XP and much more stable.
Thanks

So download the full Mouseware. Why wouldn't you wnat to do this? Just
install whatever the current mouseware is. If you're nervous about it,
set a System Restore point first.

Malke,
I was thinking of downloading the entire Mouseware as it usually works fine.
But when I get to the download page, it wants to know which mouse you have
and displays all the Logitech mice and none are touchpads. If there is a
"generic mouseware" on the site, that is most likely what I would need, will
check around it some more, but so far have not found the correct version,
Thanks

Malke,
I found the Mouseware general update for Version 9.790 and things seem much
better with that as a driver. I think I might also have a hardware problem
as it still acts like I am clicking the left button at times that I am just
sitting there, however this is a 100% improvement over what I had.
Thanks again for your help
Tedd
