Windows XP Installastion

I am trying to intsall Windows XP Home on a different computer and I get the
following error while copying the first set of files after partitioning the
drive: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA.

Technical Information:

Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had that recently, problem was a bad hard-drive, though it could be any
number of things in your case. Was only when copying files that I had a
problem.

Try installing Windows 2000 or 98 just as a test if you have access to them,
or if you have a spare HD, then try that as well or instead.

Thanks, I'll have to take back some parts to the store. I heard it could be
either a faulty HDD or a faulty memory stick. Damn.
