windows xp home and slave drive

Lulu

I just added a slave drive from another computer. The
slave drive is recognized in disk management as healthy
(active), but is not assigned a drive letter. The option
to change drive letter is not highlighted for this
drive. Please adive. Drive 0 is NTFS and Drive 1 that
shows no drive letter is fat32.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Lulu,

Is it an empty HDD? If so, you need to format it first and then it will be
assigned a drive letter. You can do that from disk management by right-mouse
clicking on it and choose Format.

If it has data on it and you can't access it, that is a different problem
and please post back here as a response so that perhaps we can help you
(without you losing all your data).
