I posted the below on windowsxp.help_and_support, but on
second thought, this might be where it needs to be
posted. Thanks in advance for any help!

The only changes made recently were installing SP-1, and
adding an e-mail address to OE6. I assume the Outlook
Express change is totally unrelated to my problem??

For a few days after installation, everything seemed okay;
but, yesterday I re-started and it's taking forever for
anything to load. Norton Internet Security is running
(and has been for a year or so) and, during re-start, it
stops everything while waiting on me to respond to
security questions. This is common, but the questions
usually pop up quickly during re-start.

I sat in front of my pc last night at least 2 hours
waiting on the questions and IE6 to start. Finally had to
leave. This morning, there was another question. I
answered and had to leave for work before anything else
would start up or more security questions were asked.

Does this make sense or do I need to provide more info?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

After you have logged into the OS (and it starts running really slow), open
up task manager and sort the columns by %'age Processor. What process is
hoggin' all the CPU?
