Windows XP Cannot Remember Display Setting

W

wkg

After I have installed a list of the latest Windows XP
patches, I found that the computer would change the color
quality to 8 bit instead of the 32 bit which I have
setted. The resolution remains a 1024x768.

When I tried to change the color quality back to 32 bit,
the computer will again change it to 8 bit after I
restart the computer.

Is there any registry value which I can set to make the
setting permanent?

Please help.
