Windows XP and NT Domain

I am using windows XP professional, when I tried to join
a windows NT domain the following message appearing:
Your computer could not be joined to the domain because
the following error has occurred:
The security database on the server does not have a
computer account for this workstation trust relationship

When I trying to log to the NT server form my Network
places, Password and user name requested, if I entered
them I will be available to reach the NT resources.

Most likely, you do not have administrative permissions in the domain.
Contact your domain administrator.

Is this a NT4 based domain?

Thanks, Already I have permission on the server, in the
previous I used to log on with the same username and
pasword but now couldn't. Yes this is NT 4.0 domain.
