I just bought a HP with windows Vista, needless to say I hate it, everytime I
try to upgrade anything it blocks it, I really liked my old computer with
windows XP, I would like to dump Vista and install XP, an upgraded version
of course, How can I do this.My computer is still under the first year's
warrenty, however I know I'll have to pay for window XP.
Please don't tell me I'm crazy, several people I know that has Vista feel
the same way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all .

Go to HP's website for your specific model machine and see if there are
drivers for XP. If there are no XP drivers, it will be very difficult to
run XP on that machine and you should return it instead.

If there are XP drivers, first make Restore Disks so you can return the
machine to factory condition (Vista) in case you ever need to send it
back to HP for repairs. Then download the XP drivers and burn them to
CD-R. Then install XP. You will need a full retail copy of XP (or a full
generic OEM) to do this and you will need to do a clean install.

After a time you'll get used to Vista (that is, dumbed down) and all will be
just fine. Trust me. I'm in the know.

I don't think you're crazy, but I think you're making a serious
mistake. Anything new is difficult to get accustomed to, but you say
you "just" bought it. If that's the case, you clearly haven't given it
enough time to get accustomed to it and earn how to use it

But it's your computer and your choice, of course, not mine. To
install XP, just buy a copy of XP, boot from the Windows XP CD (change
the BIOS boot order if necessary to accomplish this) and follow the
prompts for a clean installation (delete the existing partition by
pressing "D" when prompted, then create a new one).

You can find detailed instructions here:

But bear a couple of things in mind:

1. You should check with your vendor before doing this. Some vendors
consider that your changing the operating system voids your warranty.

2. Make sure that XP drivers for all your hardware components are
available before you start.

You ****ing idiot. This is the real problem with Windows...any dumb ****
can buy it. If you sit an iTard in front of a Vista box of course the iTard
is going to struggle. There are numerous free spell checkers available too.

Install a linux distro, then OMGz your friends on some pre teen forum about
how l33t you are. **** OFF.
