Windows Vista crashes with Screen Saver in operation

I have a Windows Vista 32 bit operating system. When the screen saver is in
operation the system crashes. It forces me to restart. I then get a screen
asking if I would like to have the system do an auto fix. This has happened
four or five times in the last month. i just bought the computer in March.
Has anybody else had this problem and does anyone know of a solution

Hey, I have problems with my screen going blank while in the middle of
solitaire, etc, and when I changed the delay time down to 5 minutes, it
happened more frequently, so now i have no screensaver. I too just bought
this HP laptop, and they (HP) said it was a loose connection in the monitor.
Downloaded two new drivers, and BIOS, but it was a waste of time sent MS an
email, but no reply at all. I know this doesn't help, but you're not
alone......

If it's a loose connection in the laptop display and it's a new computer,
did you send it back to them for repair?
