Windows Updates re-enable SP2 firewall??

We are running into a major issue on our network. We have the XP SP2
firewall disabled via Group Policy. We've noticed, however, that whenever a
new patched is released and installed on the workstations, the firewall is
magically enabled again...this prevents us from using RealVNC to assist our
users. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, have you discovered a
way to prevent the firewall from being re-enabled?

Thanks!

I've never seen this, myself. And this is OT, but why not leave the firewall
enabled, but make an exception for VNC, whatnot?
