We'll need more information to answer your question intelligently. What
update or updates are failing? What error message or symptoms do you see
when the updates fail?
You can try downloading the updates from the Windows Update Catalog, then
installing them locally (rather than using the active update feature of
Windows Update). To do this:
- On the Windows Update page, choose "personalize Windows Update."
- Check the box marked "Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog."
- Click "Save Settings."
- Now under "See Also," choose "Windows Update Catalog" to download the
updates you need.
