Windows Update

I try to use Windows Update and I get directed
to "v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp". I
chdecked the FRQ's and it talked about 3rd party firewalls
running with Windows firewall. I don't have either one. It
also talked about
deleting "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE...." and I don't
know how to find or do that. Please help!!

HI bob-- to find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE ect.

click start then run and type in regedit-- BE CAREFUL!!
This is your computers registery and you can mess stuff
up easily-- follow the directions very carefully.
