Windows Update - Only admins, but user is an admin...

I have a new XP SP2 install that the user tries to run the Windows Update
and get a message that you have to be an administrator or be in the admin
group to run the untility. This user is an adminstrator on that machine. I
don't understand what the problem is. Any advice or clues as to why this is
happening? Thanks in advance.
